This was an excellent campground. Quiet setting in a deep valley with a stream running through the campground. Had a great night by the fire with a babbling brook as my background soundtrack. Sites are well equipped with bear proof food vaults. Easy access to hiking opportunities. Clean and well kept bathrooms. Part of a cluster of campgrounds near the eastern end of the Beartooth Scenic Byway and they all seemed to be full of excellent campsites.

What a beautiful campsite! Level and paved parking made setup a breeze. Clean site with fire pit that includes grill, sturdy picnic table and easy access to creek. Nearby Red LODGE had great places to eat and a nice grocery store. We took the drive over Beartooth highway which was a definite highlight! The camp host was very friendly and kept a wonderful welcoming atmosphere not to mention personally notifying campers about nearby bear sightings. Great experience!

The area is beautiful and the campsites well maintained. The camp host this year were wonderful friendly people and did a great job.

From U.S. Highway 212, turn off at Rock Creek Road (Forest Road 2421). Go 0.3 miles to the campground entrance on the right.
Parkside Campground is located approximately 20 miles from US Highway 212, providing access to Red Lodge and further connections to Interstate 90.
Elevation: 2195 feet
13 mi drive to downtown Red Lodge (about 20 min)
Policies & Rules
General
- Standard Single Family sites: Recreation Use Fee allows ONE camping unit ONLY. Double and Group sites: Refer to Specific Site # for capacity limits.
- Extra Vehicles: Cannot be paid for in advance - upon arrival coordinate with the host for payment and where to park.
- Late Arrivals: campers are not considered a "no-show" until 24 hours after arrival date check in time. Our policy is that your site will not be released before that.
- FIRST COME FIRST SERVE sites must be booked in person. DO NOT call to determine availability, as they are only available on-site.
- Bears frequent the area; please obey all food storage rules and regulations. Check with your host for details.
- Don't Move Firewood: Prevent the spread of tree-killing pests by obtaining firewood near your destination and burning it on-site. For more information visit dontmovefirewood.org. Firewood bundles can be purchased from the campground host.
