Love this spot. Close to town but you wouldn’t even know. The spot we stayed at had nice separation from the next spot.

Well-maintained campground with big sites. Enjoyed visiting Gus, the huge larch nearby, and a hike to Morrell Falls. Plan for a lot of sun as much of the hike is through a burn scar.

This campsite was great for our party of 10. It was also right next to the bathroom and a short walk from the lake.

The site was clean and the area seemed well maintained. I am sure to help with fire risk, the underbrush and many trees had been cleared losing pivacy. This was not an issue for me, I was just there to sleep and get back on the road, but something people should look at.
The proximity to the lake and to town was great. I popped up the valley for the Morrell Falls hike and had a super afternoon, followed by breakfast at a pullout on Salmon Lake when I was leaving the next day.
