The reservation process was complicated, restrictive and not intuitive. The campgrounds had numerous vacancies even though fully booked, so not fully utilized. Our regular sites were booked by several families that showed up days later. We are not fans of the new system.

It is a beautiful area and well-kept campground. The restroom are extremely clean and odor free. The space I rented (14) was very difficult to back into. Even though the space was long enough, the concrete blocks to keep vehicles on the road restricted the turns needed to back the trailer into the space.

This is my childhood campground… brought back so many memories of playing in the sand, the gorgeous lake and mountain view, nice tar for riding bikes, beautiful big trees. Seeley never disappoints! The Ice Cream Place in town is always a must as well!

While the campground itself and the host is a great one I had to give a poor review because the campground literally had an invasion of people while we were there.
On several individual sites on August 4th approximately 200 people showed up.
It was a group of girl and boy scouts from California and their leaders.
For 2 days and evenings we were subjected to loud screaming and littering of the campground!
The exact opposite we came for!
Why is it allowed for a large group to use the individual sites for a group gathering???
Seems like there is no limit on camping units per site. Some sites had six tents set up on.
Bathrooms were virtually always occupied.
It felt like a complete invasion!
Other days different large family groups were using the campground for family reunions, somehow always next to our site.
20 to 30 people gathering on one single site.
The peaceful nature experience turned out to be a major noise disturbance for us for 7 out of the 8 days we were there for.
Management should consider limiting occupants per site!!!

This campground has nice big trees throughout which gives the feeling and smells of truly being in the mountains. There is nice separation between sites so you can relax in peace and quiet. Beautiful views and the beach/swimming area is very clean with easy walk in access to the water.
We are definitely planning another trip here.

This is one of our favorite campgrounds. It is beautiful and well maintained by Campground Host, Kevin, who does an outstanding job servicing the camp. It all makes for a great stay. Great job Kevin!

Booking process needs refined. I couldn’t get same site for three straight days, which is understandable. However, having to pay double fee to book a separate site for the third day is wrong. Figure it out, recreation.gov. 😡
Restrooms need help. One of the two toilets was out of commission the entire time.
For the amount of money coming into this fund, there should be ample funds to repair such things.

At first we were questioning this new reservation only implementation but it is so nice not to have to hurry and get on the road to make sure we could get one of our favorite spots at our favorite place to be. As always, our host in just a great guy! Don't let him go! Its been our vacation destination for the past 27 years! Thank you again!
