What Guests Are Saying
Big Larch Campground features clean, spacious sites, well-maintained facilities, and a great location near Seeley Lake, making it a wonderful spot for a long weekend or overnight stay. Guests appreciate the proximity to both the lake and the town, as well as the friendly atmosphere and ample room between campsites. However, some visitors reported issues with noise from fellow campers and generator use, particularly during busy holiday weekends.

Love this spot. Close to town but you wouldn’t even know. The spot we stayed at had nice separation from the next spot.

Nice campground, close to the water. Not very much shade for us. Overall, a great stay with clean pit toilets. Some people were playing loud music after hours and some people had constantly barking dogs. I would stay here again as it was a pretty area and a good location for going into town.

The campground was nice and close to the lake. However, we were next to someone who ran their generator all day and I kid you not, ALL NIGHT! It woke us up through out the night. Went to go inform the camp host, but they were either inside their camp or out doing campground duties .

Stayed over the 4th of July weekend. Normally love this campground but this time wasn't great. Seeley Lake is crazy busy over the 4th and the boat launch at the campground gets used by every boater on the lake it seems. No room to park all the boat trailers and tow rigs so they park along the roads, partially blocking the roads. The local speedboat owner decided that 7:00 in the morning was the best time to race up and down the lake waking everyone who happened to still be sleeping.

I tried cancelling my reservation online the day before arrival and was unable to complete this on line. I them called the USFS park office but since it was the weekend I left a message telling them to cancel my reservation. The next "working day" I called and spoke to a park employee who transferred me to another person. They were not avaible so I left a message to have them call me. Not getting a call back I went to the campground and spoke with the host. He gave me an 800 number to call which indicated it was USACE. I told the person what had happened but since my reservation started the day before, she could not cancel the remaining days of my reservation or provide a refund. I explained to her that I wasn't concerned about the refund but wanted allow someone else to use the campsite for the rest of the week, noting this was 4 of July on Saturday. She said she could not cancel or allow someone else to use it. I did tell the host the spot would not be used, but he also said he had no control on cancelling the booking. He did make note of the site and hopefully he could leave a note at the campsite indicating it was open for the next few days
