What Guests Are Saying

The Dry Wolf Cabin offers a quiet and beautiful retreat with a few extra luxuries compared to typical forest service cabins. Guests enjoyed their stay and the surrounding area, though the fridge may not be reliable, and biting flies can be an issue. Overall, it's a neat cabin that provides a pleasant experience for most visitors.

We had a great time. One thing - there is no lock on the inside of the door. Would not want a bear wandering in. I hope a lock gets installed. Other people noted the same concern in the cabin log book. Nice there were mouse traps in the cabin. We caught two the first night. Enjoyed our stay very much. Beautiful surroundings. Never could find the marine fossils at Bandbox Mountain. Good directions for that would be nice.

Cabin was lovely. Propane lights and stove are super handy. Beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped.

The cabin is at the edge of a large meadow and a hiking trail right behind the cabin. The cabin itself is a nice place to stay as long as people keep up with the cleaning like they are supposed to before they leave it.

It snowed while we were there, so we didn't get to hike where we wanted to. In all this is a nice little cabin. Since it was the end of the year, the creek had dried up so there was no fishing to be done near the cabin.

I would recommend this one for any time of the year.
