Dry Wolf Cabin is located about 20 mi southwest of Stanford, Montana, in the Little Belt Mountains. The rustic cabin is conveniently located along Dry Wolf Creek, providing a pleasant setting for anglers, wildlife watchers and hikers.
When snow arrives, access on the graveled county road is by four-wheel-drive only.

Dry Wolf Cabin is a beloved destination for many, offering a peaceful off-grid experience and access to nearby trails. While some guests reported issues with mice and missing kitchen supplies, the overall atmosphere remains enjoyable, with beautiful surroundings and spring water nearby. Guests should be prepared for potential fridge issues and recommended access routes to ensure a smooth visit.
The cabin is at the edge of a large meadow and a hiking trail right behind the cabin. The cabin itself is a nice place to stay as long as people keep up with the cleaning like they are supposed to before they leave it.
It snowed while we were there, so we didn't get to hike where we wanted to. In all this is a nice little cabin. Since it was the end of the year, the creek had dried up so there was no fishing to be done near the cabin.
I would recommend this one for any time of the year.

The cabin and vault toilet were very clean and free of critters. The beds looked new and comfortable. Propane powers the range and lights. We wish we could have stayed longer and explored the area.

Dry Wolf Cabin is a great cabin! The cabin was clean and well maintained and the fridge works once you light the pilot light. The surrounding area is gorgeous. We will be back!

Lovely location with plenty to do in the outdoors around the cabin (hiking, fishing). It was quiet with the only sound being a flowing Dry Wolf creek. Lots of butterflies!

Pets are NOT allowed in the cabin at any time. Pets are to be leashed on a six-foot or less leash or kenneled outside of the rental building if desired. Users are responsible for removing all pet food and droppings from rental site prior to departure.
