Apgar is excellent. Its best feature is the hot showers... I came in on Amtrak from Chicago, and boy howdy, that shower that first night in the park after 30 hours on the train was heaven on earth.

The ranger programs were very good. They were also very helpful with directions and general information. Campground was well kept.

We reserved A54. I would not recommend this site for a truck camper. It is on a slope and we had a difficult time leveling the truck. We were unable to get another site due to the campground being full. Campground was clean and the staff was helpful. Location to the village and Lake McDonald was walkable.

The pull-through sites on the inside of the loops are not set up for RVs. Due to the one way access, when you pull in your awning and door are not on the side with the picnic table and fire pit. In addition, we had trouble getting out of the site without damaging our RV because of two trees that prevented necessary maneuvering to exit. In the end we had to back out of a pull through site.
