Most sites out of "A" Loop are not very good for tents. We had to put our tent in the parking spot of our site and it was still on a slope. They put the fire rings on the most level spot on the sites leaving no place for your tent unless you want to erect it literally next to the fire ring meaning no campfire or risk burning hole in tent from hot embers.
Only one small (3 stalls) shower facility in A Loop is simply not enough.
A plus is the proximity and easy walk to Lake McDonald and Apgar Village.
Going to the Sun road runs next to campground and can be very noisy if you have a site at the end of the loops.

Beautiful campground, large sites, but busy/limited showers for tent/van/car campers.

Beautiful campground and spacious wooded campsite. Free hot showers! Close proximity to GTTS road so expect some road noise. Road construction on GTTS road was painful - delays as long as an hour.

The campground itself was very pretty and full of trees, however the campsites are jammed in and very close to each other. Our campsite was next to a large RV with a car who ran the generator past allowed times. We did contact the host and he immediately advised the hours to run a generator. The host was very responsive!!! Of course the generator was turned back on at 8am promptly.
Perhaps there should be designated spots for RV's with generators in order to not spoil it for those of us who just want to enjoy the peace and quiet.
