Lots to explore at this campground. Water, bathrooms, bear lockers, and trash are well-located.

Live in the valley so it's always nice to get a weekend in Apgar. Campground hosts were kind, park staff were attentive and bathrooms clean.

Very pleasant stay at Apgar campground. Bathrooms are good, campsite was excellent as with national parks. Shower was excellent.

Always great to camp anywhere in Glacier, but wasn’t a fan of Apgar. Too noisy with generators, barking dogs, and screaming children.

Very nice check in lady (Marilyn). Found restrooms and showers very clean and laundry facility clean.
Some of our camping spots were too close to the road

The campground location is great! Easy access to the lake and walking distance from the visitors center. The campsite I stayed on wasn't so great. It's far from ideal when you want to camp in a tent, because there's very limited space to actually pitch your tent. The site seemed to be some kind of shared driveway with the two adjacent sites. I guess that would be okay if I had an RV but I couldn't pitch my tent there. So there was only a small spot left between the bushes and the fire pit where I could pitch my tent. It was a bit too far in the bushes and too close to the fire pit if you ask me. Also, there's absolutely zero privacy in this spot. I looked around and noticed there were many better spots than this one, especially those on the other side of the road seemed much more spacious and "hidden" between trees. So if you have the choice: get a different spot.

Beautiful campground, walking distance from Apgar Village, Lake McDonald, and Apgar visitor center. A little close to Going to the Sun Road so there is traffic noise on the side near the road. Helpful and kind hosts & rangers. If in an RV, be sure to come with fresh water in your camper - we saw people using the POTABLE WATER at the dump station to hook up to their BLACK TANK rinse! There isn't anywhere else in the park to fill your RV with drinking water.
