Pleasant stay at Apgar. Madison at the Permit office is the best. She will work with you in making a plan to hike the backcountry when getting your wilderness permit. I really appreciated her help.

The campsite was lovely. Easy to park the 24 ft trailer, the pickup and a car.
I do wish the internet connectivity was better. We had no signal at our site. But were able to get one by walking toward the visitor's center.

Apgar Campground is a fantastic base camp for family adventures in Glacier NP. My 10 year old and I really appreciated the bike path access to Apgar Village and the Apgar Visitor Center, from which we could catch the free hiking shuttle up to Logan Pass. The bathrooms (flush toilets) are clean and there are free hot showers in A Loop.
This particular site was a little unlevel and didn't have an area for a hammock, but there was a potable water spigot right across the street, which was convenient. Too much tree cover to get great solar or Starlink, but I did get a very faint AT&T signal and occasionally 2 bars of T-Mobile.
The road from Apgar up Going to the Sun Road is currently (August 2023) under construction so there are many miles of dirt with potholes and occasional washboard, but it improved significantly in our 2 weeks in the park. DO use the park shuttle if you want to do lots of hikes along the Going to the Sun Road!
