Apgar is wonderful except that the shuttle system does not work well. I have experienced the shuttle at Zion, which would be a good model for Glacier. Zion has many, many, many more shuttle vehicles than Glacier so that one almost always can get a seat on a shuttle in just a few minutes. At Apgar I stood in line for more than 2 hours before I gave up and went home. When I dropped out of the line there were at least 100 people standing in line in front of me. I had arrived at the main shuttle stop at 7:30, which I thought would be early enough, but it was not. I know $$$ is short supply for the Park service and I know you are trying very hard to work out this problem, but if at all possible, that is where I would put any extra money you have. Other than that, Glacier is an absolute dream vacation.

Beautiful campground with a perfect location at the foot of Lake McDonald. Easy access to the shuttle.

Campsite was great, easy in and out. There were even deer strolling through in the early morning. Trees and vegetation between sites, a fair amount of privacy and easy access to the bath house and a walk to town.
