Great location near the lake, close to the timed vehicle checkpoint, great shops at the village, and a nice bike/walking path to West Glacier! Bonus points for fresh Huckleberries growing at and near the campground!

Beautiful campground a short walk from the Visitor Center and Apgar Village. The showers were crowded and a pretty long walk from our campsite. The Going to the Sun Road shuttle was convenient but we usually had to wait 1 and a half hours in the mornings to get a seat so get there before 9am. Highly recommend a red bus tour so no one has to drive and miss the scenery.

This was the perfect spot to experience Glacier. The campground was clean, bathrooms were in great shape, and we appreciated the friendly staff. Great location to Lake McDonald and the Apgar conveniences. You can easily walk to the visitors center and back. Fresh water available as well. Will definitely be coming back!

The campground was great but very busy and crowded. Facilities were clean but not all bathrooms were readily available. They only allow one direction into your site so some site your door to your RV may be facing out to the road and not your camp. They allow 3 vehicle per site, which was great. We were able to fit 2 motorhomes and a truck onto one site.

Nice views, pretty lake. Most of the experience was great, but I feel compelled to mention two negatives. The upper bathroom in A loop was in sad shape, both men's and women's. Broken fixtures, rusty partitions, not maintained. And this campground (perhaps all in the US national parks?) was not very dog-friendly, though I understand concerns about that. We will seek other more rustic campgrounds outside of the parks in the future.

It is the most affordable and comfortable camping location in the area. Easy to reserve, spacious camp spot. Clean, quiet, and truly enjoyable. Trees provide lots of shade. I've stayed here w my spouse twice now. Highly recommended.

Great location. Make sure to get reservation for Going-to-the-Sun Road. Apgar village and the visitor center is nearby.
