Used to be great 20 to 30 years ago. Now it is just fine.

Roomy site with lots of trees. Water and dump access was tight but we timed it right.

We stayed in loop D in our campervan in June. Great experience - friendly staff, beautiful surroundings. Next time I’d stay closer to loop A near the amphitheater and showers.

Loved it! Short walk to Lake MacDonald/ampitheater, walk/bike to Apgar Visitor Center or Apgar Village.
Camping notes: fit a 24' travel trailer in this site; moderate grade from middle to distal end of driveway noted. Forest cover combined with rainy days made solar recharging difficult.
