What Guests Are Saying
Apgar Group Sites offers a peaceful and clean camping experience, with convenient access to essential amenities, nearby showers, and a lovely beach perfect for swimming after hikes. The site is spacious, close to the visitor center, and features friendly staff, though some guests noted the bathrooms could be improved and the campground can get crowded. The on-site pizza is highly praised for its freshness and quality, making it a great dining option after a day of exploration, despite being a bit pricey.

The campground was fine but way too many people! If I go again I will look for camping on the East side of Glacier. Just as pretty and far less people!

The best pizza in town?
We ordered Peakbagger and garlic knots, both tasted very very fresh and delicious.
Absolutely loved it. I could see a lot of thought went into curating the pizza. Balsamic glaze just elevated the pizza to a different level.
This is a must try vegetarian pizza. Garlic knots on the other hand could have used a little more garlic. I felt it was lacking that garlicky punch to it.
Service is super quick and ambience too nice. It’s setup next to a mini golf course. Definitely coming back.

We loved our group camp site with four tent platforms, 3 picnic tables and plenty of room for our biking group. It was a 5-8 minute walk to a beautiful sunset on lake McDonald

Campground was clean and accessible for large 5th wheels. Location is prime for getting to most of the park with little travel time.
Camp host were friendly. HOWEVER park LEO Ranger was confrontational. Provided false information that I was violating campground rules, when asked to verify that information he changed his statement to I'm violating fire code and informed me that if an evacuation was necessary they would de prioritize my evacuation over others.

I Love this place. It is such an amazing mix of remoteness and access to services at the same time. The is so much to do to keep the whole family happy. We ;ove the paved path to West Glacier. The lake is clear and clean. Hiking, biking. swimming, ice cream. This place has it all. 10 out of 10

The worst stay ever! We booked a group campsite for 9 people. But apparently, if your friends get seriously sick, or even die, the rangers don’t care. If you don’t have 9 people, they can REMOVE you from YOUR PAID spot or simply let a random person stay with you. They are happier if you don’t show up at all, than have less people. The ranger didn’t like that our friends didn’t show up due to COVID with complications and that there were only 4 people instead of 9, so she just let a random person (he was super weird) set up his tent in our spot.
