Shower situation is terrible. Only 2/4 showers work for hundreds of campsites and they’re all in loop A. Other than that great campground!

Site 174 was a hidden gem! HUGE site with direct access to the lake. Great place to relax, catch the sunset and sunrise. The bathrooms were very clean and even though the neighbors were close by, it still felt somewhat private.

This site was really nice! Pretty private, close to a dumpster, reasonable walk to the facilities. This campground has showers, which was fantastic. And surprise cell service- no data, but I could send and receive text messages.

We were in loop B. Bathrooms were clean. Water and bear boxes nearby and easily available.
Space was a little tight for two tents (4 people)
Showers were available but very far from our spot

The campsite itself was very nice, We had ample room, and it is very beautiful. However, what makes it hard (if you have a small pop up Chalet trailer like we do, or are tent camping) is that there are no individual bear boxes per campsite. Several campsites need to share a bear box so there just isn't much space. Instead, you have to put everything in your car or hard sided camper ANY time you leave the site. It was like breaking camp every day. You can't leave your campstove or any cleaning products or any cookwear out. It made it very hard. If there were bear boxes in each site (which has been our exjperience at every other place we have ever camped) it would have been easier.
Also, this campsite is west of the Apgar entrance and so you need to get a timed entry pass to proceed to the Going to the Sun Road. Our way around this was to get up very early and get across the entry before 7 am when a pass is not required. You want to do this anyway, because the road only gets more crowded as the day goes on, and there is limited parking at most of the interesting sites.
The next time we come to Glacier we will camp on the east side, OR at a location past the Apgar gate. When we do come again, we will camp to save money on lodging, but eat in the restaurants at Apgar Village, or the big Lodge at the East enrance rather than trying to cook at the campsite. It you have an RV that you can cook in, it may be okay, but we like cooking outsidel...breaking camp to go anywhere was just hard.

This campground is clean and in a nice and quiet location. Friendly staff throughout our stay and the sites are well maintained. The only downfall to this campground is that there is only one set of showers for the entire campground and two of the four showers were out of order during our stay, leaving only two working showers for the entire campground so there was always a long wait to shower and the water was lukewarm.

Fish creek was beautiful and quiet. The nightly programs at the amphitheater were excellent, and the proximity to Apgar Village was incredibly convenient. The only thing to be prepared for is that the only shower is in loop A and you have to park at the amphitheater to use it, otherwise we had no problems and did not even have to wait.

We love this campground! It’s quiet, heavily forested, and provides access to the lake.

Love FishCreek Campground, it is our first choice when we are in Glacier National Park. Stayed in loop C and It is nice and mostly peaceful. Lots of tree covered for shade. Camp lot was little smaller than hoped but we made it work. Showers in loop A, were as expected for a campground shower. Water was either lukewarm or warmer which was nice. But only 2 of 4 of the showers were open. The other two were being fixed. Staff do go around daily to make sure people are following rules for their campsites which is nice so that to avoid bears. I would recommend first time FishCreek campers to look for video of someone doing a walkthrough of the campground to make sure your campsite works for your needs . Some spots can be small or on a slant/hill. But overall the campground is very nice and lake McDonald access is a plus.
