In the middle of the campground with no privacy, would not stay in this site again

Incredible campground with spacious campsites. Loop D specifically has sites that backed up to the creek, providing calming natural ambience. The location is great for access to going to the sun and views of Lake McDonald. When I come back to glacier, I will definitely be staying at fish creek.

The bathrooms. They were absolutely disgusting and a heath risk to the public. I understand that the normal toilets and bathrooms are unable to be used and therefore temporary toilets were given (port-a-potties). But what was inexcusable was that for the three days we were staying at fish creek they were never cleaned or emptied (changed out). So that by our third day the excrement (poop) was all the way to the top of the toilets. Also, since they were never cleaned, there was pee and spit out half chewed food on the grown of the pot-a-potty (which was our clear indicator that the toilets were never cleaned). This is an extreme public health hazard.

The site I was in barely had any flat ground. I had a 4 man tent and slept on a slope the whole time. Maybe a 2 man could fit but it's barely big enough. The campground is great, just pick another site

Very Poorly managed park. Rangers are not helpful or knowledgeable. I was issued a backcountry permit for a closed trail with no way to refund. We left the park a day early due to how badly the entire park is managed.

I just love fish creek. It is the best place to camp in glacier. Convenient to the lake McDonald area and also east to hope on the road to Polebridge. The trees are gorgeous and the ground is soft with pine needles covering it. The sites are spacious and private.
