From Loop C, be sure to do the Rocky Point hike. It's an easy loop with incredible views of Lake McDonald. Also spend time on the beach front there (less crowded than the Apgar area). Also good to know: showers are in Loop A for Fish Creek camper use. Beautiful campground - you won't go wrong booking here!

Crazy campsites ! The sites are not level . If your lucky you might find one. Even with trailer chucks it was hard to get the trailer level. Bathrooms dirty

Only issue was the 9 mi of road construction on Going to the Sun road coming in from the east. Also very hard to get reservations. Campsite itself was great/as seen online.

A classic campground, spacious, picturesque, by a rushing river. A bit too close to the highway, but noise was minimal during the day, and non-existent at night. Great location for all Gallatin Canyon sites and activities.

Clean, well marked, and very fun evening ranger programs. The camp host was very friendly as well and calmed our fears about camping with bears.

It’s a big campground but sites feel pretty private. Showers are only in the Loop A - there is no parking allowed near the facilities so you have to walk there. My site was spacious but located above the main road so could hear the cars going back and forth all day. The host checking me in (he was from the Loop A) was super nice and answered all my questions (there was a bear alert in place and I was wondering if I can car camp safely with my food in the vehicle).
My site had a disappearing one bar of reception (Verizon).

We were at site C103 and it was a great spot. Pretty level with pull through access. Had no issues setting up our roof top tent on a trailer in the configuration we wanted and still room for our 4Runner. Easy access to the trail that goes around the lake and the lake itself. Potable water and bear locker at site. Restrooms and trash cans just a couple sites down and across the road - close but didn't notice any extra foot traffic. Neighbors are close but didn't feel too close (it is a big and busy campground). Loved being within GNP and having access to Apgar Village and other amenities along with easy access to Going to the Sun road. Would definitely come back but stay longer!

We stayed in D149 for 5 nights, we had our camper van which helped us create privacy from the site across the road. Overall this place is gorgeous, well maintained, and a great location. We’d definitely go back.

Cozy, clean campsite and the rangers were helpful and friendly. Our group only stayed a short time so we didn't attend any ranger-led events, but I'd be interested on a future visit. Easy walking access to Lake McDonald from our site on Loop B and the signage across the board at Glacier was clear and easy to follow. Be ready with bug deterrent measures if you camp in late June-- skeeters were extremely active, especially in the late afternoon/evening.
Loop A (where you can find showers in Fish Creek) was also quite accessible by foot (10 min walk) or by car (5 min drive). Time it right if you want hot water!
