Site needed brush/overhead limb trimming. Pretty small site for just about any rv. Besides that it was a great experience and good camping.

Fish Creek campground was excellent. Camped during second weekend in June. Weather was between 65-75 deg. Short periods of clouds mixed with sun throughout the week despite weather forecasting Tstorms and cold. We got stuck with loop B bc we didn’t plan ahead early enough to get loop C or D which were closer to the water. We “assumed” closer to the water would have to be better but that wasn’t true. All the campsites were heavily wooded so even if you are by the water all you see are trees from your campsite unless you take a short walk down to the water. Loop B was also a short walk/bike/drive to the water so it was fine. Much less busy than Apgar but busier than sites further into the park and first come first serve locations. Our fire pit didn’t come with a grill grate which was novel news for us so plan accordingly. We had park rangers camping in our loop as the “camp hosts” which was super convenient for questions and updates. Didn’t come across any bears (fortunately? Unfortunately? Idk lol) but the command to be bear aware is everywhere so… beware lol. Other than that the experience was fantastic. Glacier was better than advertised and simply an incredible nature experience. People were kind. Rangers we’re helpful and friendly. I look forward to taking my kids some day.

I did not appreciate having to pull up my camping reservation and show it the the rangers EVERY SINGLE TIME that I came into or left the park. They had to see it at the vehicle reservation stop to be sure I could enter the park without paying again. It was redundant, excessive, inconvenient and unnecessary!!! The road between Fish Creek and Lake McDonald Lodge was a disaster!! It was in such terrible shape it had people in our vehicle throwing up from the roughness! All of the pull outs were blocked off, all of the trail heads were blocked off! You could not stop anywhere!! We stayed in Fish Creek Campground Loop A because of the convenience of the showers, but they were absolutely disgusting! One had the shower head broken, in one the shower head merely trickled, stall 2 was the best but the walls were covered in bugs and filth. The floors were nasty! You need to worry a little less about making sure every vehicle is carded multiple times a day and waste personnel just sitting alongside the road for that and use some of them to clean and provide some maintenance for the showers and facilities that we are paying for!!! I have been coming to Glacier National Park for over 50 years now and this was the absolute worst trip I have experienced here!! If I can not stop anywhere to view the sites, if I cannot stop at the trailheads and get out for a hike, if I cannot use the showers because the water is a mere trickle then I certainly should not have to pay the $30 to get in!! I mean what did I pay for? Since I also paid for the campsite. If you cannot maintain the beautiful park with the millions of dollars that are pulled in every year then maybe you need to close it for a year and get ALL THE WORK DONE to the roads, buildings and facilities and then re-open when it may be worth the fee! Besides all of us pay for the National Park through our taxes so really we should not have to pay to enter the park or drive through it anyway! Very Disappointed in 2023! Sharon A.

It is very difficult to get a reservation anywhere inside the park. Id come more often if I could get in.

Shower rooms sized appropriately. Camping sight was level.
An easy walk to get to the lake! Which was amazing. Our stay was early June. Went swimming in the lake for an entire afternoon/evening. Could launch the kayak as well. Just make sure you get it inspected at agpar first.
Four a five star, I would need to see a bear food storage box at every site. Other national parks have been doing this. And the standard duty of care is trending to every site having their own box. NGP is proud of their grizzly population. They should show that enthusiasm for their campers as well, by getting every site it’s own food storage bear box.

Campsites were roomy, bathrooms were clean and campground hosts were friendly. Really enjoyed how close the campground was to a lot of the hikes I did. Would definitely come back.

Fantastic clean campground. A lot of dust due to the gravel road and campsites. The bear rules are very inconsistent. The Rangers were not consistent. In the last 2 days we were checked 4 times by rangers (packing guns and bullet proof vests) . It should be noted we are rules followers and senior citizens. Who knew bug repellent can’t be left out or cardboard boxes in a clean bag were illegal! Glacier needs better written rules so the customers and the enforcement officers can be on the same page..
