What Guests Are Saying
Sprague Creek Campground offers a beautiful location right on Lake McDonald, with well-maintained sites and clean bathrooms. Campers appreciate the friendly host, Ed, who is knowledgeable and helpful. While some noise from the nearby road can be a drawback, the campground's scenic views and access to the lake make it a favored choice for visitors seeking a quieter experience in Glacier National Park.

Campground host was knowledgeable and friendly. Bathroom was clean. Appreciated access to the lake and having some space between us and other campers.

I actually did not end up staying here because I opted for a site on the other side of the park, but I did stop in to check out the site and use the restroom. Facilities were clean and the wooded campsite was very nice and private. Seems like it would've been an excellent site to sleep at.

Space 13 is probably the best spot in the campground. Away from the entrance, and only a few steps to the lake shore, great views from the site, and close but not too close to the bathrooms.
Joan, the camp host while we were there was a gem!
The only complaint is, all sites in the campground are quite close to Going to the Sun road, so road noise is fairly prominent.

I love Sprague Creek. It was definitely the best campground for me.
I sleep in a hammock and I would definitely advise anyone who does sleep in a hammock to check the pictures of the site you're looking to review to ensure that there are trees where you can hang the hammock over gravel, which is what the campground requests. Most of the trees are soft barks so be sure to bring wide tree straps.
The campground is right next to the lake with multiple paths down to the lake so you can watch the sunset. Because there are no RVs, you don't have to worry about generators, or people staying up? Partying?.

The campground had decent bathrooms. Some shelves and hooks would have been helpful while washing up. Great location - close to Lake McDonald and Lake McDonald lodge. You do hear traffic on the road but not too bad at night. I would recommend, but it is quite basic.

Small campground, basic flush toilet and sink. No shower, no cell service. Sites aren’t very level. Good for people that want to tent camp in small groups, not good for bigger groups or self contained vehicles
