What Guests Are Saying
St. Mary Campground offers a great experience with informative ranger talks, clean facilities, and helpful hosts. Campsites are generally well-maintained, providing privacy and beautiful views, though some sites may require leveling. The location is great and we had good cell reception with Verizon. Town and the St. Mary Visitor Center is very close and it's nice having showers (in the C loop). Tree coverage is sparse and the sites are very close together. Although we had our own drive, table, and fire ring, we were essentially sharing a space with another group. There was no clear division.

Of all of the campgrounds in glacier, this was the most unimpressive. Left our site at 9pm to see the star gazing experience with the astronomy program and when we returned in our van, someone had parked in our site and removed our reserved tag on the post.

St Mary’s Lake campground is lovely and well organized. The rangers and hosts are nice and helpful. The evening ranger talks are awesome. I would camp here again.

A10 is a small site with shade and privacy. Had its own water tap and a bear box close by. Toilets about a 3 minutes walk away. Close to the half mile trail to the visitor centre.

C124 has a small tent pad with no shade, exposed to the wind. Clean toilets and fresh water close by. Excellent talk on mountain goats by a very engaging ranger. Showers are free, warm but a little walk away.

C125 had a small tent pad. Site is surrounded by bushes, so sheltered by wind and a little more private than some of the others. Close to toilets and fresh water. Rangers came round regularly, advised us of bear activity although no bear box on this site.

The camp has a good situation close to the entrance, stores, and activities.
Falicities are clean and the water point is useful.

The location was perfect - not terribly far from our day hiking at Many Glacier and getting up the next morning to explore going-the-sun road and Logan's Pass.
