Awesome place. Super awesome rangers. The showers were out for the season, and that was a bummer, but otherwise it was exceptional

About a mile from the St. Mary entrance great area. Not much to do in the area. small town with gas station along with a few restaurants.

Make sure to check out the ranger programs going on, the astronomy program was amazing! Would have been 5 stars except the showers were broken or under construction and I had some noisy neighbors. Beautiful campground

Beautiful campground with clean and well-maintained restrooms. We set up tent for two nights in the B loop. Our only complaint was that the showers were closed due to some construction work.

The site was secluded. The bathroom and water was not far away.

The talk on Grizzly Bears was great! The site was secluded in the trees. We had a nice campfire. I wish there was a place to get wood on site. We were near water and the restrooms. There were lots mosquitoes but that comes with the season.

I thought the campsites were to close together and too small, but I guess that is Glacier. It all depends on what you paid / pay. However the volunteer ranger support was awesome and the toilets were nicer than any airbnb I have stayed in okay that maybe a stretch. But you get the idea. I recommend this over the west entrance to the park. For me, access to the ...sun road was much easier this way and less convoluted. The challenge with Glacier is that, all the really cool things to do, exclusive of the unfettered MT greed outings, can take years to learn. Because of this, pack a huge budget when you get here. If you have a good friend, of which I have none, who knows the park -- foster the relationship; it is equal to a best friend with a boat.

We camped 3 nights at St Mary campground at site B74 and had a lovely time. We did hikes out of the Many Glacier area and one near St Mary along the Going to the Sun Hwy. We were aware of the lack of shade at the campground and prepared accordingly so we had no issues with our stay or our campsite. If you're looking for a campground that offers a little more space and quiet, then I would highly recommend St. Mary!
