We had reservations for three nights and had three different campsites. I found it annoying that we had to move every day when all of the sites around us were all reserved for one night each.
On the plus side the bathrooms were nice and clean. The sites were pretty level. The roads in loop C seemed to be in much better shape then those in loop A. It was nice to have the evening presentations given in loop C.

Sites are pretty private with plants and spacing. Showers are on C-loop if that's important to you. A-loop is partly gravel and rough in spots but the sites are nice. Be sure to check out Kip's Beer garden in St. Mary. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but is surprisingly nice inside with good pizza and reasonable drink prices. Be sure to get groceries and gas before heading into the area. The complex in St. Mary's is very overpriced.

St. Mary’s Campground offers an incredibly convenient home base for exploring the park. Its location is unbeatable—being positioned right inside the gate saved us so much time getting in and out. We were also pleasantly surprised by the internet connectivity, which was consistently reliable throughout our stay, and having a dump station easily accessible on-site was a major plus.
However, there were a few downsides to our experience. The sites themselves are a bit tight, making it feel a little crowded. Our specific site was located right next to the bathroom, which meant a fair amount of foot traffic, but the real issue was the proximity to the garbage dumpsters. Dealing with the constant noise and the view of the trash area definitely took away from the relaxing atmosphere we were hoping for.
If you decide to stay here, I would highly recommend requesting a site further away from the facilities and the dumpster area to ensure a much quieter and more scenic experience.

I loved the campsite space and surrounding views. It was nicely maintained. The bathroom and water facilities were close and convenient. I do wish they had shower facilities on site and warm water but as this was a more rustic campsite, it was acceptable for a short stay. Staff at the entrance were very pleasant and helpful, and I felt safe and comfortable as a female, solo traveler/camper. The park is absolutely stunning and Saint Mary’s is at a great location. I would definitely recommend this campsite, one of my favorites of my 18-day trip and 5 National parks.

Great site. Close to restrooms and the walk way to the visitors center.

It's definitely on the windy side of the park, but that's not the campgound's fault. Sites are well dispursed and reasonably private, flat and the road is mostly paved. I just wish it hadn't been a cloudy night I'd been hoping to see the stars in such a beautiful dark space.

What a view!!!! Magnificent!!!!
We got the last site available (no choice) B94 - which unfortunately was next to the bathroom block which was closed (?not sure why). It was a great spot to dry out our wet tent from the night before, but then realized in the morning that we were in the shade and packed a damp tent/fly again.
Totally recommend the campground, probably wouldn’t choose this site as first option.

This is another great Glacier campsite that is an awesome home base for exploring, especially the East side! It's great for evening ranger programs and seeing the stars, if you can stay up late enough. We were in C106 and had an awesome view of the mountains. Another camper commented that they were more in low tree cover in the other loops and was envious of our view. As mentioned, there is no shade here, which was great for late June for us and our solar panels. It's a short walk to the showers and a second modern bathroom. We loved this site!
