This campsite was easy to get to. We had cell reception which surprised us. There was a lot to do and see at Park that we could easily get to from this campground. We saw lots of bears while in the car.

Our campsite was beautiful and the facilities were great. Unfortunately one night ( I think it was a Thursday night) a nearby motel or campground was blasting loud music most of the evening and into the night well after I went to bed. I could still hear it inside my camper. It kinda ruined the campfire atmosphere under the stars we were hoping to have. This did end up being the loudest campground we stayed at in Glacier NP as other campers were also loud at night after quiet hours.

Park Rangers confiscated our spotlessly clean dishes and camping equipment because park rules don't allow you to have clean dishes in the campsite. No one told us this at check in and this rule is different than state parks that also have bears. We did not leave any food out. The worst part was that smoke levels were dangerously high and one member of our group had asthma, and this confiscation of our equipment prevented us from leaving to seek fresh air. To get our stuff back, we had to be interrogated by gun packing park rangers in bullet proof vests. Not only did they slow down our escape and traumatize our kids, but they fined us too.

Another great campsite at Glacier National Park was St. Mary’s Campground! Even though Loop C and our site didn’t have much shade, the beautiful views made it completely worth it. The restrooms were well maintained, and having four showers available was a huge plus.
When we stayed, the campground staff mentioned there had been several bear sightings near our site because of the nearby berry bushes, so definitely be bear-aware and follow all campground safety guidelines.
Overall, St. Mary’s is a great option if you can’t get a reservation at Many Glacier. We really enjoyed our stay!

Close to the campground host, who was super helpful! But far from the bathroom AND basically in the same campsite as another tent/party. The other folks were loud late at night and in the morning so sleep was awful.

A really nice campground. Only four showers for the entire place, but we only ever waited 10 minutes for one. The camps are all divided by some small brush which provides good privacy but also isn’t too shady. We lucked out that our spot had some nice tall small trees to block the sun for the afternoon! Would definitely camp here again.

Located a half-mile west of the St. Mary entrance near St. Mary, Montana. Access is from U.S. Highway 89 approximately 33 miles (51 km) northwest of Browning, Montana or over Logan Pass when open. Vehicle restrictions are in effect.

Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
