Site B63 was lovely and spacious. It had a tent pad as well as enough flat ground space for two more tents, all significantly set apart from the picnic table and fire ring. Although there were very few bear boxes in the campground, one was located at this site. Bear boxes here are meant to be shared between campsites, making them less effective than when there is one box per site.
The toilet facilities were old but clean. The showers are in loop C and are free. The water temperature was good when I showered around 4 in the afternoon. The shower facilities, although clean, are in general disrepair, missing hooks and shower curtains.
There is a 1/4-mile trail to the visitor center from the campground.

This site, A43, is tiny. There is room for a single 4-person tent (8’x8’) but there is no tent pad. The area for the tent is a sloped bowl and is immediately adjacent to the picnic table and campfire ring, making it not only uncomfortable but also hazardous with respect to both bear and fire.
The campground has 1 bear box for every 4-7 campsites, making using them very inconvenient unless you happen to be at a site next to one. There is no bear box close to this site.
We ended up not staying at this site but doubling up with friends at a different site.

Excellent location, private, and quiet campground near to gas station, stores etc. We had cell service, which was unexpected. Loved our stay here!

Great experience, all but the showers. Need more than 4 for the entire campground. Bathrooms are exceptional!

Location was good with easy access to GTTS road and St. Mary lake. Bathrooms were not well kept and the campground is pretty open with not much to block the strong winds coming off the mountains. Not enough bear boxes. Was only 1 box for 4 sites and someone stuffed all of their gear in it.

Beautiful campground with plenty of space and great location. Only downside is the shower house- one shower house for such a large campground makes for long lines and cold water. If you don’t need to shower, it’s perfect!

H loop fairly quiet and enough room in sites; nice setting. Some highway noise throughout night. First I thought it was the wind blowing. Bathrooms with dish room are conveniently located. Check-in friendly/helpful; can be a wait at certain times but expected. A disrespectful person supposedly was feeding a fox which caused it to come through the campground each morn. Good to have camp store at campground; note card only; no cash. Appreciated full recycling options.

Great location. There was privacy in our site. The showers were disappointing- only 4 stalls for the entire campground, and the showers head was bad. There was also some loud music during the night.

We had a great time at this campground. The sites are not very private but they provide great views of the mountains and the views around you. Bathrooms were fine, including the showers. And they had a great ranger program in the evening.

Surprisingly good view from this particular pitch - seems it is only less popular due to being next to a group site but the view of Glacier's peaks more than makes up for it! Nice and private hidden behind some small shrubs. Could struggle to fit larger tents.

Located a half-mile west of the St. Mary entrance near St. Mary, Montana. Access is from U.S. Highway 89 approximately 33 miles (51 km) northwest of Browning, Montana or over Logan Pass when open. Vehicle restrictions are in effect.

Policies & Rules
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
