If you like off the beaten path, this is the campground for you - at least in the off season. We were there at the end of September, so only one of the 3 loops were open. Our campsite, which was across the street from the lake, proved a perfect spot for our 3 day stay. The morning sun shining on the mountain across from us was the perfect wake up! Hiked several trials from the campground. Lots to see.

I understand that we were there in "off season." However... when the Park is THAT full still, I expect better accommodations. We arrived the day before and every reserved campsite in the entire park was taken. We were then told every additional first come campsite was also taken. There were no campsites. I was able to reserve this site at Two Medicine for the following two days. When we arrived, ALL water was turned off. There was no way to get spout water for cleaning. The bathrooms were CLOSED. The only outhouse had ZERO toilet paper during our entire 2 night stay. We observed 10-15 "reserved" campsites that were NEVER occupied. Sites that all the visitors like myself the prior day could have used. DO BETTER GNP. DO BETTER.

The campground was very nice and clean. The problem we had was that the rest rooms were closed for the season. If I had of know you were going to turn the water off and lock the restrooms I would have stayed somewhere else. When we got to Logan Pass there was around 20 people in line for the pit toilet. I know you can do better. There is no excuse. There were numerous park rangers standing around who appeared to be there just to guard the restrooms. The same park rangers instead of just standing around could have opened the restrooms and cleaned them up afterwards. The campground was not so bad as most people had restrooms with their camper. Many people only had tents and such however. We stayed at another campground in Kansas and the same thing. I understand you have to deal with freezing weather but that was not the case in Kansas or at Two Medicine. I know it had just snowed in the high lands but that can happen in the summer in the high lands. In summary it appears that the park rangers were lazy and just had an excuse to stand around and do nothing. Theodore Roosevelt would not have been proud.
