What Guests Are Saying
Tally Lake Campground is highly praised for its beautiful, secluded setting, spacious campsites, and friendly camp hosts who enhance the overall experience. Campers enjoy various activities such as swimming, kayaking, and hiking, with many expressing a desire to return. While there are some concerns about dust from gravel roads and occasional issues with water pressure, the campground is generally clean and well-maintained, making it a favorite among visitors.

We love camping at Tally Lake. We would love to be able to book the group site sometime. We try every year but never get a spot. We are happy that the new waterlines are in although the pressure wasn't very good at the end of the line of taps. Love shopping in Kalispell while we are there.

Would like to get access to the group site. Otherwise, some of the water spouts are awkwardly in other camper's sites.

Great fun with our grandkids and SUPs/kayaks. Camp hosts were excellent. Wish we had more time for hiking.

Tally Lake was by far our favorite stay in the entire area! You are tucked away on the farthest end of the River and the campsite had lots of trees so you also felt very alone out there. We brought a paddle board and spent our time paddling around the lake. There a lots of rocks you can jump off of into the water. We had a blast and our only regret was that we didn't book more nights at this campsite!

The ladies who welcomed us on in was a great first impression. It was such a warm welcome. Clean and well monitored facility.

The campsites are large and roomy. The restrooms were clean. The beach area is nice and has an ample swimming area. The Hosts were friendly. This campground gets a lot of use throughout the season, so the sites are barren of vegetation and can get dusty during dry periods.

If you don't mind traveling 8 miles on gravel, dusty roads into and out of the Tally Lake campground location and dealing with the dust that gets stirred up by the vehicles coming and going which made the roadside sites very dusty and not pleasant, then you will likely enjoy the lake, beach area and small boat launch for water fun. The roads inside the campground are also gravel which contributes to the dust issue.
The campground is landscaped with tall Larch trees. Some campsites are available with pull-thru for larger RV's.
Not much privacy throughout the otherwise clean campground. Site 28 was nice, however, fairly open, next to the roads, and dusty. Hosts were accommodating, pit bathrooms were clean and overall a secluded campground.

Tally Lake campground is a familiar site with us. Some of the reasons we’ve camped here for the last 40+ years is because of wide gravel parking pads, both back in and pull trough. The toilets are freshened daily! Water is nearby, huge campfire rings, and a clean area when you arrive. The beach is grassy with tables and benches. It has a open mowed area for huge groups or a football or beach ball game. A beautiful area far enough out of town to relax.
