Beautiful campsites. Kokanee fishing is overrated. Dozens of boats, no one catching.

Nice wide and level gravel sites big enough for 2 vehicles over-looking the lake with large green grassy areas between sites. Included a fire ring and picnic table. Camp hosts were friendly and stopped by to welcome us and give us boat launching info. This campground is well managed and clean with great access to fishing and boating on the lake.

We had a good stay during the second week of May. We come to fish the Missouri in our drift boat every year about this time and find the Holter CG a good location to use as home base.

The campground was well maintained and the hosts drove around continuously checking on campers and their needs. The boat launch and docks were good, but could use additional boat-trailer parking. Launch before 8am if you want a place to park. Although, a person could take their rig back to their camping spot as the walk is not far from the ramp. The outhouses are in good shape with minimal odor present.
Additionally, an RV tank dump station needs to be installed. The closest one is in Helena. Too far for a family on vacation. Most would pay an additional amount for that service.

Anytime we can get the motorhome out to the lake was a good time. Got to see some trout swimming around the boat docks, but I wasn't fishing. Had a good barbeque.
We'll be back in the fall.
