The campground host Kevin was one of the best I’ve ever had at a campground. Very friendly and easy going. Made us want to come back.

My family does a yearly camping trip/reunion. When I booked booked the sites I did not know they were actually in a parking lot. I picked them because they were close the boat launch and lake. After reviewing the site about 2 weeks prior to trip I realized my son's 5th wheel was too long for the site I booked for him. I changed the site and he was now booked for the A loop which is a very nice camp ground. The site my husband and I were in was extremely narrow. Our slide out and steps were in the sites adjacent to ours on each side. On day 2 our slide out was damaged by a motorhome just arriving. Needless to say we were upset and wanted to change sites. On the first day I was able to get a site in the A loop but it was booked for the weekend and we had to stay in the parking lot until Monday... Because of the accident my husband went to speak with the camp host Kevin as did the man who hit us. The man admitted that it was his fault.. to the camp host. Long story short Kevin was amazing and was able to move us and another family member up into the A loop immediately! He went above and beyond for our family! I cannot give him enough praise! The remainder of our stay was amazing. Our family's sites were close together in the Aloop. Birthdays and our Anniversary was celebrated. We rented Pontoon boats and toured the Gates of the Mountain, grandkids swan and jumped of huge rocks! We fished and I caught my first pike! All in all the trip was wonderful thanks to Kevin working his magic to keep us all close. We will definitely return to Holter Lake in the future.

Don’t go in the summer. Way too hot and lots of bees.

Over all my tent campsite at #52 was great. What wasn't great was all the fisherman driving in with their trucks and boats at 4-5 am in the morning making noise slamming truck doors, tailgates and talking outload without any regard that people were camped right there still sleeping. I love Holter Lake, but I won't be staying in that tent campground ever again.

The Holter Lake Campground is a basic campground for RV/trailer and tent camping with grassy sites and great access to the water. The boat ramp and docks are excellent and most sites have decent views of the lake and surrounding mountains. Potable water is available but no electric service or waste disposal is available. The campsites have gravel back-in driveways and most have grassy areas adjacent to the site. Pit toilets are kept clean and the campground is well maintained and clean.

A great well kept campground! The only reason I didn't rate my experience five stars is because I'm a poor fisherman.
