Very nice well managed campground and boat launch. If the fishing had been better I'd give it a five.

This is a wonderful well maintained campground! With a beautiful setting with a view of the lower Holter Lake and the mountains along the Missouri River making up the Holter Reservoir! The camp sights are set up for maximum privacy , while still utilizing as much space as possible to get the maximum number of RV sites into the area!

Holter Lake campground is always nice, but this year it was exceptional. The grounds were green and mowed (even in late August), the toilets were fresh and clean, and the camp hosts were friendly. Everything was great!

When I arrived at the campground another camper had occupied my site #5. No one was there. The camp host had me set up in #2 until the occupiers returned which they did at 7pm. They insisted #5 was theirs and paid for even though I had my confirmation # and receipt. The camp host and BLM ranger helped us in every way, but the campers never left and didn't thank us for letting them have our campsite. In retrospect I would have insisted they leave at 7pm that first night. Other than that we had a good stay and thanked the rangers and campground workers..

Campground is nice and clean but very busy. We ended up waiting 45 minutes to get around the circle back to our spot
