Nice camping on the Missouri River. Campground backs up to a shaded bluff. Great camp hosts. Mostly sites are fairly close together. Shade is abundant in most sites. Many sites very sloped front to back. 50/30/20 amp. Water available at dump station outside park on the side of a busy highway. Verizon very poor. No wifi. We enjoyed a quiet stay.

The walk around Tailwaters is always great. Also, walking along the river with all the lights is beautiful. The people in Yankton are always friendly. We took our dogs to the city dog park on city limits road many times and they had tons of fun. The local restaurants are great. For example, donuts and sandwiches at donut delight really hit the spot. Also , we also highly recommend frying pan, Perkins, rock bottom, and murdo’s. It’s always beautiful driving over the Gavin’s point dam especially at sunset. The campground hosts(Brian, terry, and Shane) are so special: accommodating, friendly, and fun to be around.

Really enjoyed out time at the campgrounds. The host was great and very accommodating. I'm not sure why there is a 3 day minimum on reservations?

This is a quiet and cozy campground next to the Missouri River. There is easy access to Yankton and other state parks.
