About (Lake Alpine) Silver Tip Campground

Silvertip Campground is less than a mile west of Lake Alpine, with a trail leading from the campground down to the lake. Campground may open earlier and close later on a first come first serve basis as weather (snow level) allows. This information will be posted on this page as soon as it becomes available.  The current dates for reservations have historically allowed for comfortable camping, but please take into consideration the high alpine location when making a reservation. It is possible to have snow, rain, mud, and overall cold/wet conditions any time of year.

Dennis, camp host, allowed us to switch sites, giving us a beautiful view from our campsite.
Enjoyed the BEST fish & chips at the Lodge, and paddle boarding on the lake. Feels like Summer!

Campground is a bit rough and showing it's age. Some sites are right on top of neighboring site making them uncomfortable! The peace and quiet is wonderful... even a bit of traffic noise could not overwhelm! Dennis the camp host is spectacular! Always there to answer questions and helping campers make the right moves. Restrooms clean and very usable! We will go back!

To start off the camp host was top tier. We had an issue with our site and we were able to move to another site per his suggestion. Which turned out to be the perfect site for us. With that being said site 19 IS NOT for trailers. The driveway is worn away and so unlevel it’s crazy. And the marsh like grass was a breeding ground for mosquitos. The bathrooms were so clean and well taken care of.
