Easy to find. Clean site, friendly host. Only spent the night. But, I wouldn't mind spend a few days there.

Very spacious campsites, and not busy when we were there in late September. There are three large group areas close to the campground which might indicate it is more bustling sometimes.

I like this campground in the Pinon/Juniper forest. Just far enough from the highway to be quiet, lovely campsites, lovely setting.

Really enjoyed Ward Mountain campground. VERY clean and well kept by the hosts. Looked like a nearly new fire ring, BBQ and a separate stand for propane stove or your own BBQ. Clean air and lots of stars. And very quite. Just the occasional 18 wheeler coming up the grade. No water but that is not the fault of the operators. I would recommend for a night or a week and it's short drive to Ely for shopping or an evening out.

Lots of shade, really nice camp host and clean toilets. We were just doing an overnight passing through but I’d stay there again for sure.

Very nice place with trails available. I had full cellphone service out here, surprisingly. It's a shame there isn't a creek or anything out here (as far as I could see).

This place is impeccably clean. The bathrooms look brand new. Sites are really nicely laid out, especially in the loop by the mountain bike trailhead. Plenty of available sites on the August weekend I was there. This area is beautiful. I look forward to coming back.
Ward Mountain mtb trails were pretty good, but I recommend not trying to climb back over the mountain to get back to the camp once you go down the trails on the East side of the mountain heading toward Ely. It wasn’t too bad to pedal back up the highway for 6 miles. I hear the Cave Lake trails may be even better.
