Very nice place with trails available. I had full cellphone service out here, surprisingly. It's a shame there isn't a creek or anything out here (as far as I could see).

This place is impeccably clean. The bathrooms look brand new. Sites are really nicely laid out, especially in the loop by the mountain bike trailhead. Plenty of available sites on the August weekend I was there. This area is beautiful. I look forward to coming back.
Ward Mountain mtb trails were pretty good, but I recommend not trying to climb back over the mountain to get back to the camp once you go down the trails on the East side of the mountain heading toward Ely. It wasn’t too bad to pedal back up the highway for 6 miles. I hear the Cave Lake trails may be even better.

The campsite was nice and the campground host very friendly. The skies are very dark so star gazing is AMAZING. We enjoyed our night stay. There is no water at the campground though, and there has been none since May. Just make sure to bring bottles of water with you or have some in your camper. You will enjoy your stay at Ward Mountain.

The campsite was very clean and organized however I was disappointed that there was no fresh water. Also, you can hear the noise from the highway. Those were the only drawbacks.

This was a great stopover going and coming from Missouri to the Redwoods. It was well maintained and met our needs perfectly.
