What Guests Are Saying
Thomas Canyon Campground is praised for its stunning views, peaceful atmosphere, and excellent hiking opportunities, making it a favorite for many visitors. Campers appreciate the clean facilities, proximity to nature, and the soothing sounds of the nearby creek. However, some concerns were raised about maintenance issues, including a lack of camp hosts and cleanliness of restrooms, which detracted from the overall experience.

Campground was nice and right next to a creek and has a great hike within the campground that goes to waterfalls. Highly recommended.

We love Thomas Canyon! The campground staff was very friendly, helpful and kept the bathrooms very clean. The only thing that was difficult for us, as well as all who camped there, during our 10 day stay was no available water. It was definitely "DRY" camping! We were able to fill our 5 gallon container at a camp spot further up. Inconvenient but doable. All in all it was a good time had by all.

It was a bummer that the water was out when we were there, but we loved this campground. Amazing views of the canyons and peaks right from your campsite. Can't wait to return again! The hike up along Thomas Creek was great, make sure you go all the way to the upper basin.

Lamoille Canyon is stunning so that adds to an already thoroughly positive experience at Thomas Canyon Campground. The hosts are very friendly and helpful.

Go every year, sometimes a couple times a year. Always enjoy it much, except longer camp days can be a little restless cause there isn't that much to do.

Stunningly beautiful location with the mountains all around the creek running through. Just what I needed after shelter-in-place.
Camp was clean and well tended. Camp host helpful and available. Water was a couple miles up the canyon.
Tough parts for me was the wind and rain. The aspen trees seemed in some distress. Seems to be critters infecting them.

Poured rain the whole time we were there, but we had a great time and did some fantastic hiking. Campground clean and quiet.
