Thomas Canyon is a real gem, fantastic hiking, fishing and swimming in the local swimming holes. Camp hosts we're great and it only gets better going up lamoille canyon. I feel stupid writing this review because I'd like to keep the secret, but I feel obliged to share it with you as well.

This campground was my happy place. Truly enjoyed the river access direct from my campsite. Even though there were campers on both sides of us the forest was thick enough that we could not see or hear them. We stayed here for just on night on a road trip and I wish we would have spent more time here.

We have lived in Nevada for over 50 years and have never been to this part of the state. It was beautiful and loved all the water falls and hiking in the area. We will be back.

Lamoille Canyon and Thomas Creek Canyon are absolutely beautiful this time of year. Lots of flowers, waterfalls, and stunning views. The hiking is first rate, high alpine style walking. Not too crowded, but still lots of locals and visitors alike were out enjoying the season. The Thomas Creek Campground has many nice campsites. The camp hosts do a wonderful job of keeping it clean and appealing. They should be applauded for their efforts!

The campground is accessible via I-80, with the nearest exits in Elko, followed by a southbound route on State Route 227 for approximately 25 miles. The final approach is via Forest Road 660, which connects to Lamoille Canyon.
