Thomas Canyon offers stunning views, a relaxing atmosphere, and plenty of hiking opportunities, making it a favorite for many campers. The campground was very clean, spaces are nicely spread out (a few are closer together but most have a good amount of distance between them). Bathrooms were very clean and camp hosts were very helpful. The hiking trail right out of camp was beautiful and well maintained (I'd say moderate the farther you go). We went in early June and lots of water in the river and waterfalls everywhere. Just a lovely weekend and we definitely want to go back as there are plenty of sites and hikes nearby.

Dare I say the prettiest campsite in Nevada? Our new favorite overnight spot along 80 to get between CA and UT.

What a beautiful area - the Lamoille Valley. We only wish we had more time to spend. Will return to hike the Canyon trail to some of the alpine lakes.
The camp hosts were helpful, giving us tips on where to hike and other info about the area.

We ended up not staying in campground as the weather was very poor with snow & ice on the road. We decided it was too dangerous to continue up canyon with our RV, especially as there is no cell service for help. We ended up staying in a RV Park in Elko.
