What Guests Are Saying
Thomas Canyon Campground is praised for its stunning views, peaceful atmosphere, and excellent hiking opportunities, making it a favorite for many visitors. Campers appreciate the clean facilities, proximity to nature, and the soothing sounds of the nearby creek. However, some concerns were raised about maintenance issues, including a lack of camp hosts and cleanliness of restrooms, which detracted from the overall experience.

Beautiful area. Hiking right out of camp ground. Be prepared for high altitude. campsites are about the same so don't stress about which one is available. Great attentive composts are there. Bathrooms are clean. Take the road to Ruby Lake Wild life refuge. Great shopping in Khourly's Market in Spring Creek.

What a nice surprise! First visit here. Host was informative and accommodating, didn't treat me like I was trespassing. The beauty was unparalleled. Awesome views from the campsite and 100' up the trail from the campground you are in gorgeous wilderness with no sign of civilization. Will be back!

The campsite (#18) seemed fine until half of the tent pad turned into a pond during a night of rain (in September 2022). We were surprised to have a generator-running RV in the site right next to our tent site. The pit toilets were clean. The potable water was handy and of good quality.

Nice quiet campground. Not much to do unless you are planning on hiking though. I was also unable to see the campsite I was reserving online. It was handicapped and didn't have room for a tent. Unfortunately, my daughter's had to put their tent up where we were supposed to park one car. It all worked out, but was not ideal.
