Wonderful campground with the river running right through it. Some sites are incredible others average. Campground host is grumpy and unhelpful.

Very clean bathrooms! Sites are kinda small and close together, and many had no views when the trees are leafed out, but the shade was welcomed. Even on the holiday weekend patrons were not particularly rowdy and once the weekend crowds cleared out, it was even more delightful. Unfortunately the trail description for the Thomas Creek Canyon hike was misleading — it indicated only 500’ of elevation gain to the cirque, whereas the actual gain is more like 1200’. The hike was definitely worth it to us regardless, but I’m sure there are folks who might be better served to know the truth of what kind of exertion to expect so they can plan their day’s activities accordingly.

My husband and I LOVE this campground. We've been every August for the last three years. It's perfect for our needs; quiet, secluded, and beautiful. The bathrooms are clean, the setting sublime, and the camp hosts have always been friendly. We try to stay in site 33 which is at the beginning of the Thomas Creek Trail making it most convenient to head out on a hike. When it's time to pull up stakes, we always drive into the Lamoille Canyon to its end to take in the last views of breathtaking scenery before heading home.

Very nice, well maintained camp. Site 9A was nice but a bit too close to the restroom. Camp sites 22 and higher are closer to the water and may be more desirable. I would definitely camp here again.

Beautiful and very well-kept campground. The hike up Thomas Canyon Trail is most spectacular and should not be missed.
