This is a difficult campground to review. I believe we just happened to be there at a bad time. During our stay, the campground was in the process of upgrading services to many of their camp sites. This caused an interruption to utilities. While we had a site with full hookups, two of the four days of our stay, we had no water from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. When the water was off to our campsite, it was also off in the bath house/bathroom. So no toilets during the time from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on those days. Even though there was supposed to be cable provided, we had no cable service during the entire stay. The trenches dug in parts of the campground made walking to and from the office and bath house difficult. Additionally, the indoor pool was closed for maintenance the entire 4 days of our visit.

That said, our site was plenty long and wide with a lot of room for our fifth wheel trailer and our tow vehicle. It was a level site with a picnic table. The campground was conveniently located along the major highway that ran to Carlsbad Caverns National Park and the Guadalupe Mountains National Park. The office staff was welcoming and pleasant to deal with. I would highly recommend this campground, once their construction updates are completed.

My wife, grandson and I stayed here in early April 2026. The park was easy to book. The staff were very friendly. My grandson loved the pool. The park was well maintained. The sites were a little close and there is very little shade. With that said our experience was good and we would stay here again.

Had a great time at Carlsbad Campground for our honeymoon! We stayed for almost a week and there was plenty to do around the area if you don't mind a little drive. The staff was super friendly and helpful! We're already planning our return trip! The cabins are quite nice and the campground has great amenities! Showers and restrooms were always clean. Couldn't have asked for a better stay!

This is a very clean park with super nice staff. We had no issues with traffic noise or diesel trucks being noisy in the mornings. The sand burrs are going to be everywhere in this area - nothing can be done about that. The dog areas are indeed very small - and we have a large dog that needs lots of exercise - and we made everything work just fine. This is a great place - no complaints!

First and foremost the staff was super friendly and very accommodating! They helped me choose another spot away from the busy road to reduce traffic noise during my stay. The park is clean of trash or litter which is more than I can say for the city itself. Although, this seems to be more of a full-timer park for oil and gas workers, It didn't seem to affect my stay at all. I removed a star due to the stickers or goats head sand burs. They were so awful. My poor dog couldn't walk an inch without them sticking in her paws. I got a few stuck in my feet as well. Very painful! The women's bathroom and showers were SOOO clean and modern. Probably the nicest RV park bathroom I've ever been in! The pool was up and running during my visit but I didn't use it. The laundry machines seem to be extremely expensive at $3.25 for wash and $3.25 for dry. I did not use them. Overall, a nice two night stay.
