I was disappointed at the condition of this facility, particularly the shower house. It didn't appear to have been cleaned in quite a while. It was disgusting to say the least. Additionally, the garbage at our site was overflowing. I wish we could feel more welcomed at these campgrounds. We enjoyed nature and all the park offered while there.

We stayed in Site 6, It was a great location close to visitor center and bathhouse. The RV spot is a nice wide pull thru with lots of room, but beware in this site you need to raise the one side 4 inches to be level, also you need to raise the end almost a foot! We had no issues because I had lots of blocks with me but be prepared! The walking trail was very nice, paved and had signs explaining everything you were looking at. I also had printed the brochure from the website so it was a pleasant .75 mile walk.
I recommend you check this place out!

I pulled in here on day two of a 2 Week Long Rd. trip right as the sun was setting. It was so beautiful!! I wanted to go explore, but knew I needed to rest up. The restroom was nice and tidy, and I was able to get a spot close to it with no rsvp which was very nice as a solo traveler who was car camping (in electric car so AC and fridge and such). The next morning I woke up and again it was gorgeous and did a leisurely walk on the main trail before heading out. I didn’t stay long to explore as was so early in my trip and had a few hard times I had to hit, but I was really glad that I stopped here and it set the stage for the rest of the trip with that beauty and calm. This place actually gave me confidence about my trip even as simple as having a payroll to get me started on doing these future solo hikes that I encountered later. I was really grateful for the stop and the easy going vibe at the place!
