This campground was very clean and quiet. The campground host was friendly and attentive. The location is beautiful. I wouldn’t spend a whole week here, but for two nights it was a good place to rest. The reservation said that my site would require leveling. This site was the only one on my whole journey that was spot on. The campground is really close to the highway, so road noise is a given. I was also right across from the first toilet when you enter the campground, and many people use that toilet as their rest stop off the highway. The proximity to Carrizozo was nice, as it has a couple of decent restaurants. Also close was the Three Rivers Petroglyph site, which I think is well worth the trip.

This is a hidden gem! It was peaceful and very relaxing. The walk was well-kept and easy to manipulate. We loved the table covers. The sites is sideways to take in all of the breathtaking views! We will be back! Our only sugestion would be to mow the grass around the campsites. The weeds were tall.

What a beautiful and soothing energy place! This is the second time here, first over 10 years ago. It's a special, QUIET campground. The camp host was terrific. Facilities clean. My only complaint is that my phone doesn't do QR scanning, so i spent the first half hour trying to download a free app that worked. That was frustrating after all the miles I drove to get there.

Beautiful location surrounded by mountains. The walking path around the lava flow at the campground was awesome. Clean showers, easy to pull in, and quiet. Would return here again.
