This is a great campground, very rustic charming. There are full hookups available as well as water/electric and dumpsite. Campsites are close together. Sites are quite level. Many have shade. Adjacent real hiking trail system is available right at the park. Beautiful hikes. Management is responsive and friendly. It is a Goldilocks location, just close enough to the city for convenience, just far enough away to be a retreat.

We stayed 4 nights in our RV trailer at Turquoise Trail. Everything was fine. The hosts were friendly. As with many private RV campgrounds, the RVs are tightly parked.

My one complaint, since I work on my laptop occasionally, --- the wireless is horrible, horrible, horrible. We could not use the wireless inside our RV trailer. We had to sit outside in view of the main office, and then we were continually kicked off the wireless connection. We actually had to arrange for our next RV stop at a coffee shop.

This is an amazing RV park and campground. We were made to feel so welcome by our hosts and taken care of. The pitches are all very well maintained with modern hookups and we had no problem getting our camper set up. The bath houses and washing up stations are kept fully stocked and very clean as well as accessible. The campground has access to the nearby Sandia Park and the owners have arranged for campers to be able to access the trails easily which clumb up the hillside and provide stunning views. Highly recommend this site!

5 Stars for Turquoise Trail Campground! We traveled down from Colorado with our two teenage sons to mountain bike in the area. Not only was the staff fantastic and kind, but the owner allowed our sons to stay in one cabin while we enjoyed a different cabin. (Great spots for Sprinter van overnights) The recommendations for area restaurants were great and overall, we highly recommend a stay at the Turquoise Trail campground! Access to National Forest trails off the backside of the grounds allowed us a great family hike as well! Epic!
