What Guests Are Saying

The Albuquerque Tijeras Mountain RV Resort features friendly and helpful staff, with guests appreciating their support during adverse weather. Many found the RV sites spacious and the facilities, including laundry, to be clean and well-maintained. However, there are ongoing concerns about the pool's condition, maintenance issues, and discrepancies between advertised amenities and reality, leading to mixed reviews from some visitors.

Staff- very friendly and helpful. I was stuck in a city due to a dangerous windstorm and they were able to discount the first night I couldn’t make it to the RV park.

Site - much better than expected. Based on previous reviews, my wife and I had more space than expected. All utilities worked and I had plenty of room for my RV and towed car.

Facilities - we used the laundry facilities and bathroom. Facilities were clean. Laundry was well priced.

Pool - We did not plan to use the pool. Had we planned to perhaps this would have been the only negative. Regarding the pool, I’d advise the staff to get an expert in to get it up and running. In the summer it is needed. I’d be willing to bet that the RV park could squeeze a professional pool person in their budget. Up the fees for sites $2-$5 per day and an affordable pool repair person could get it up and going. I say all this because it seems some people use the RV park as a residence and those folks could use a working pool.

Grounds - very well kept. Much better than reviews previously read.

Overall, I’d recommend this RV park. It’s not Disneyworld. For people expecting a Disneyworld experience (that negatively reviewed this park), they need to get their brains in the right perspective and find the gems of the Tijeras Mountain RV Park.

I’m sure this place was once a reasonably good place to stay. It appears that the owners now put zero maintenance into any of the facilities. They are not welcoming. If you are passing through stay at the local Walmart instead. The 30amp receptacle was so worn out and the gap was so large that it arced out our trailer cord and melted the end of the plug. None of the facilities are open and they look like they’ve been closed for a long time.

I stayed from May 23-26, 2026. I’m a disabled veteran and educator for NM for 25 years. I believe in transparency and kindness. The resort claims to have the following amenities.
1. Pool - has been closed for many seasons and is green. (False advertising)
2. Basketball court- consist of a pole in the weeds with no court (false advertising)
3. Off leash area- security said, “Yea we don’t got one, it’s just a sign.” (False Advertising)
4. Relaxing vibe- one my 3rd night, a driver hit the sign and electric pole next to my site- as a veteran with PTSD, I search for spots that will be peaceful. There’s 4 wheelers up and down the road at all hours. (False advertising on the setting)
5. Security- I believe security should be trained in how to work with the public after hours- afterall this is the face that represents the park. This is not the description on your site.
I will be filing a report with the BBB and working to either make the website description accurate, to make staff changes, or be a catalyst to make improvements in the park through the help of the Better Business Bureau. Customers should be able to know they are receiving the services they pay for. Thank you,
Sgt Melissa Goodman site 23 I also believe in giving you an opportunity to address these issues while I’m on site- this will be posted before my departure to allow a response. I will also attach the BBB file number and others can comment. Google isn’t a true reflection of the reviews. Thank you for your time.

There’s never any running water yet we’re expected to pay MORE for lot rent? We constantly have to rely on our fresh water and HOPE they “fix” whatever it is they say they’re “fixing” before we run out of our water supply. We probably have water LESS times in a month than the amount of times it’s off because they’re “fixing” it. Every time i think this park can’t get any worse somehow they top themselves. Oh AND one of their septic tanks is overflowing into their dog park.

This is the worst campground we’ve stayed at, the sites are so small we barely fit, the roads have huge ruts in them, the pool is shut down, the top bathrooms are disgusting and when I called about them she told me I needed to go use the ones at the bottom of the hill that weren’t cleaned or had paper towels the whole stay, we spent a week and the bathrooms weren’t cleaned 1 time. The workers sit on the office porch and didn’t do anything the whole time we were there. We rented this spot through Campspot, their pictures definitely aren’t accurate.
