What Guests Are Saying
Gallo Campground at Chaco Canyon offers a beautiful, serene experience with well-maintained facilities, including clean restrooms and potable water. Campers appreciate the stunning night skies and the opportunity to explore significant historical sites with fewer visitors. While some campers noted issues with noise from others and a lack of privacy between sites, the overall atmosphere is peaceful, and many look forward to returning for another stay.

Our stay at Gallo Campground was excellent. The campsite including tent pad was spacious and well maintained. The restrooms were clean with flush toilets and a sink. The campground had garbage disposal as well as recycling. We enjoyed star gazing around the fire pit. The setting was very beautiful and quiet.

Great little campground, quiet, can be windy. Clean bathrooms. Best hike: Pueblo Alto loop - you can see several pueblos from the top.

One of the most peaceful and beautiful places you can imagine. Camp ground was clean, quiet and very well maintained. Chaco canyon was the highlight of our trip. Already encouraged friends and family to make the trip. It’s worth every bit of the effort getting there. The dirt country road getting there could use a little attention. But worth the drive.

We learned not to book a site next to the group area. Otherwise, the campground was fine and the bathrooms were clean.
A little work on the road coming in would be nice also.

This is the only game in town - at a truly remarkable place - so no complaining. There is no shade (in the campground and in the park). Access to water is limited (potable water in the bathroom sink but water fountain/bottle filler is non functional). Dish washing station is cold water only. Campsites are small and close together and because there are no trees you are pretty much in your neighbor’s dinner conversation. But the bathrooms are CLEAN and well maintained. Thank you Park Service. Highly recommended.

Clean restrooms. Quiet campground. Beautiful sunset. No crowds. You can see and feel the ancient culture. Our third trip here and the experience is almost spiritual.
