The campground is 10 mi north of the village of Pecos. Visitors enjoy Field Tract for its family friendly atmosphere, fishing and access to the Santa Fe National Forest.

Located close to Santa Fe to still enjoy exploring the city. Custodians were friendly/helpful and frequently toured the site. Kids really enjoyed the river and fishing right next to the campsite. Beautiful area, would recommend to anyone.

The site we had reserved, 15, was so small, it was unusable. There was no room to pitch a tent nor park a car. There was a shelter, which seems nice in photos, it was at most 2 ft from the road. Consequently, we left to look for a better first-come first-served site elsewhere.
