Nice place for camping, we did have some people in the campsite that were idiots, drunk, howling till after midnight 2 nights in a row. The camp host was MIA, and didn’t deal with the jackasses.

First, outside campgrounds area is beautiful! Windsor Trailhead to Stewart lake an all day hike. The campground host was pleasant. However, the campground maintenance was horrid. Nice bathrooms were closed. The vault toilets were filthy. People snuck into other camping areas to relieve themselves...and it smelled like it. For some reason host placed reserved signs on every campsite even though occupancy at 25%. After a long pleasant hike we returned at 7:30pm to find gate to campsite locked and “campground full” sign posted. I walked around the grate CAREFULLY to ask host to let us in, who he did with explanation that he locked gate to keep locals out (what!!!??? I’m a local!) Beware! There is a large very bright stadium light that keeps you up all night right smack in the middle of the campground. Do not recommend campsite here although many families do seem to enjoy this place...mostly in their RV’s.

We were unsure of the layout of the campsites when we reserved our spot, because they do not have a map of the site. All the sights have plenty of room and lots of shade. During this Covid time we had ample space between sites. We were also surprised how close the river was, just through the grass and trees and your there!! We will stay here again!

Pictures of campsites would have helped. Some had zero space for a tent or camper. Bathrooms were closed except 1 set of pit toilets which were disgusting. I’ve used a lot of port o potties and these were among the worst. The nicer ones were locked up as were the flush toilets. River access was great. Grounds were very pretty.

Love this campground... great for families with young ones due to flush toilets and paved loop for riding bikes, scooters, etc.

This is a small campground not intended for large campers,it's mostley quiet with an abundance of shade from large pine trees, the river is close but difficult to fish, it is located so you can drive a short distance to either north or south to better fishing locations. It has a nice middle area with grass for playing frisbee or tossing a ball around. overall a nice campground just bring your big campers and parties somewhere else.
