Most sites in Buffalo Grove are quite unlevel, and our site was not cleaned before our arrival with debris left from previous RVers. We stayed 5 nights total in 2 separate campsites, both terribly unlevel, throughout stay never witnessed anyone cleaning sites whatsoever. We live in ABQ area less than an hour away, we come a few times a year. Lately, campground has dropped a couple of notches overall. We prefer now to stay at NM State parks where they thoroughly clean and rake your site, sites are more level, better spaced, and a bit more economical at $14 nightly.

Bathroom was clean and well lit. Beautiful view of the lake. One thing I would be aware of are ant mounds near the campsite.

Very nice campground....very well kept. Good spacing in-between sites. And it was great to have nice showers. I didn't have a site with electric hook up, but they are available. My site, number 71 in the Ringtail Cat loop, had fabulous views of the lake! The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this campground and will not hesitate to stay here again.

One important detail that should have been accessible online. While leashed pets are allowed at the campground, they are not allowed at the swimming beach. This should be noted in the description.

It was nice however these electric sites are on "mounds" and are a little strange to have to walk down to your picnic table. Not such a bad thing but definitely different! There are some better electric sites that were taken by folks in tents. Overall great weekend get away and the lake just minutes away.
