Cochiti is our “go-to” camp spot when we just want to get away for a weekend - under an hour drive from Albuquerque and easily accessible. Not all RV sites have water but not a big deal for short stays. Lake access is on site and there are also several day picnic shelters. Overall, this is a great place to get away without having to travel far.

Great park for visiting in Santa Fe. Nice large sites. My husband enjoyed the golf course.

Busy on the weekends with all the weekenders coming from Albuquerque but overall didn't have any problems this time.
In the past I have had things stolen from my site and noise has been a problem.
It is also unclear if after registering online if we are supposed to check in the campground office which is often closed.
Lack of any natural shade is a problem everywhere in the southwest but is still a challenge.
Campers also have to get in line with all beachers and boaters in order to return to their campsite, which an also take time.
Still overall a positive experience

Next door bathroom out of order, the next one available the water never gets hot plus stinks. Other than that the view and the area was awesome.
