This is a nice ACOE campground. Just a warning that the upper campground is very rocky and the sites are tight with a large incline between the site and the picnic table. We would reccomend you avoid the Juniper Loop. Our rig barely fit into our site, and the ground was covered in medium sized rocks, so walking around was very tricky on the uneven ground.

Overall great trip. Power and water worked. Easy to back into spaces with plenty of room. Only issue was that the grass had been recently cut and it was all over the campsite with lots of goat heads in it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Cochiti Lake campground. Our space was large, had power and water and a covered picnic table. The camp spaces were far apart affording everyone some privacy. The restrooms were clean and included showers.
The one thing that was a little annoying was a person mowing grass near our site. With the breeze, the dust came right into our campsite.

We love this campground. This was our first time here. We stayed on site #5 in the Pedernal Loop. We had 3 nice pine trees on the west side of our motorhome, which helped with the hot sun on our RV. Each site in this loop has elec. and water hookups. They also have a small shelter with picnic table, fire ring (NO campfires allowed anywhere in NM right now due to wildfire risk)! There is a dump station in the park. We stayed 4 nights. (mid-week) There were others spots open, but they were starting to fill up by Friday. I was disappointed in the women's shower house. Only 2 showers and one was out of order. Only one sink in a small space. Bathroom needs updating a bit. Husband said his was very clean and looked like it had been updated. (two working showers in mens) We fished two mornings while there and I caught a 14" Walleye. 😁 Abiquiu Lake is a nice size and a fun recreation lake. Speed boats, fishing boats, kayakers and canoers. There is a new playground for kids. Also, if you like photographing scenery, take a ride going North on Hwy 84. It is gorgeous!

This was a beautiful campground. We needed a longer hose for our water hook-up but the website warned us and we were prepared. The park is beautiful as well.
