What Guests Are Saying
Black Canyon Campground is praised for its cleanliness, well-maintained facilities, and beautiful surroundings, making it a favored spot for campers. The spacious sites, friendly camp hosts, and proximity to hiking trails and Santa Fe enhance the overall experience. However, the lack of water has been a consistent issue, and some visitors have reported problems with caterpillar infestations and site accessibility.

The location of the campsite, the scenery, the relative privacy of individual campgrounds, and the presence of a camp host are are all good. However, the past two seasons there has been no water in the campground, why I don't know. There was no explanation and I have not seen this deficit publicized. . Since there are just the two of us camping, my wife and I, we can bring our water in with us, but campers who are used to a potable water source on-site should reconsider camping at Black forest, or bring their own water.

I could not pick up any mobile signal, necessitating going into town to work. FYI. This is not a concern for most people BUT you will garner more visitors if you have great cell signal... plus, the carriers will pay you rent for the tower. Think about it...
The hiking was unforgettable in the Santa Fe National Forest.

AFTER we arrived, we were informed that there was NO water available. We had to drive back into Santa Fe to get some. What POOR lack of information during the reservation process!! Inexcusable!

{"text"=>"I’ve been RVing full time for 14 months from SC to ID to CO back to SC to WNC to SC to TN to AL to TX to NM to AZ , UT and CO again. Hands down Deb Lujan is the best camp hostess I’ve met in all of the many publicly owned campgrounds I’ve stayed in. She bends over backwards to accommodate campers’ needs and to amickably settle concerns plus is always cheerful and helpful with recommendations of places to see and services available in town. She’s a true asset to our NP system.", "languageCode"=>"en"}
